Finally! Hyatt Regency in Sydney

I hope Hyatt introduces valet. The system of taking your bags out then having to drive around the block to the carpark across the road was ridiculous.

FP used to have valet but cancelled after an accident crossing multi lane Sussex St on the way to car park.
I hope the new management will find better solutions.

On the weekend Hyatt was still only offering club rooms.

You never know. It could be a way for the new property to ignore Gold Passport rules. "Welcome to the Hyat Regency Sydney. As this is a Hyat, not a Hyatt, Gold Passport benefits don't apply".

After the World of Hurt changes recently announced, I wouldn't be surprised.

I can't help wondering if the sign got finished LOL

So I just logged in and my room only rate was $306.
Tried to apply our corp rate code (for hyatt in general) and it didn't change.

About to call travel direct to see.

but I am also wondering if 2017 rates a haven't been loaded cause I got limited offerings (ie not our preferred hotels) for 14th Jan.

The 2017 rates seem to have dropped to more normal levels. Haven't checked corporate rate yet.

Rates seem quite palatable at the moment.

I was offered a day room room for $179 a couple of days before Christmas which I thought was very good (Hilton wanted $229).

Dont let the lobby deceive u the rooms are still very much Four Points as is this lobby breakfast and the 2 fitness rooms.. Hoping the lounge offers up something promising!

I got 5 nights over NY's for $255 each night. Applied DSU and voila. $230 each night for single occupancy btw.

$270 could be an accentuation, but the real deal is to smother it with some of that British hp wostershire sauce. No broadcasting guys or it'll get rekt.

Can't do much overnight.

And it's a Recency, not a Park, Grand or Andaz

I am actually a little annoyed I didn't get an invite to the launch... presumably they did something stupid like invite people from our Sydney office who would never stay there.

Ah well, I enjoyed some nice wines at PHS instead.

They've wised up to us... no more corps available over NY's and it appears as if they've removed DSU availability (for NY period) by changing the King Suite category name.

I note some subtle changes to corp rates throughout normal dates as well.

Actually they are probably just settling on room types. FP Maritime Studio will be Studio Suite and Darling Harbour Suite will be Regency Suite King.
