Feeling very uninspired by Flybuys these days

Until VFF is shut down, or another buyer takes over from Bain, as some would look into their perceptions of them (Bain), I would continue to use FB.
Good way to keep VFF points from going into the "never never".
If Bain one day decides to close VFF, I would still use FB, but probably would put my points to getting $10 off per 2000 FB points.
Right now, VFF is offering 25% bonus for transferring hotel points to VFF, but no sign of the usual 15% bonus for FB points transfer to VFF, that usually goes with the hotel bonus offers.
FB also allows a miniscule VFF SC earn for buying stuff from Coles, for now, its a good thing.
Edit: I don't think SQ would be interested in the FB tie in, EY was a partner a long time ago, but they dropped their liaison with VFF, or did VFF drop them.

I honestly can’t see flybuys partnering with another airline seeing as Virgin will continue to operate. I’ll continue to keep my points stash with flybuys until we find out what sort of alliance or partnership Virgin keeps with international carriers as right now I’m not interested in collecting velocity points if they can only be used for domestic flights.

I must say that with the Coles Mastercard and the ability to use 2000pts for $10 off with any shop over $10, it has been a good way to churn some FB points. Probably not the best value compared to normal times, but in lockdown with everything closed and travel out of DPRV impossible, it’s been nice to have a “discount” with each shop.

Maybe Flybuys saw my post on here because they are sending me increasingly more generous offers. This is the latest:

Collect 8,000 bonus points when you spend $200 in one shop at Coles!

$200 in one shop sounds challenging. I’ve been getting some 4400 points for $110 spend. Just about do-able. Though I have a lot of toilet roll now.

One thing I'm noticing unusual. At the moment, FB are dolling out extremely generous offers in high frequency often overlapping - almost unprecedented for grocery (and liquor) shopping.

Then you see these other types of offers such as 15k points to go onto some Optus (most likely expensive) mobile plan or switch insurance (again probably not the most economical), yet those enticements which were generally seen (or meant to be seen) as a significant reward are now almost on a part with earning the same with a few weeks of grocery shopping. I would have thought they'd make the non-grocery rewards a bit more enticing.

Yes. Scored an overlap offer on Friday. Spend $250 get 10k points. Activated both the Wed-Fri and the Sat-Tues offers and for my $251 spend, got 20k points. Very happy with that.
I find even if it says a start date of the next day, once it’s activated you’re good to go and I’ve managed to double up enough times to think it’s intentional.
