A few sub typical Europe one-ways floating around at the moment, sharing in case they help anyone building a trip.
MEL to ATH, $590, Scoot (TR), 27 Jul, 1 stop via SIN. Worth a look mainly because it's peak Euro summer on a route that's usually $900 plus one way. It's an LCC fare so it's hand luggage only at base, bag and seat add ons apply, and no status or points earn. Fine if you travel light, and even bundling the extras it still comes out ahead.
SYD to VIE, $679, China Eastern (MU), 18 Sep, 1 stop via PVG. Full service, so checked bag included and it earns (MU is SkyTeam, creditable to Flying Blue and others, though earning on deep discount MU fares is pretty modest). Vienna's a handy low cost Schengen entry with onward rail across central Europe.
Both are one way, so worth pairing with a separate cheap return leg rather than assuming the return is priced the same. Prices were live when I posted, but these move fast.
Disclosure: I run Sky Spy (), a free AU flight comparison site, and it's how I spotted these. Mods, happy to adjust if a direct mention isn't wanted, the fares themselves are the point. Glad to answer any routing questions.
