Fantastic flight safety briefing...

Given that we were only recently discussing the pre take-off safety briefing, I'm surprised no one linked to this gem. I couldn't find it in any earlier posts/threads, but sure many of you have seen/heard it before. A very, very funny flight safety briefing on a Southwest flight to Chicago:

The execution of a script like that varies though - I find that some FAs can't pull it off well and end up sounding contrived and annoying.

I personally like the Deltalina one, no jokes but it's refreshingly casual and stylish, yet drives home the seriousness of the messages:

That's Gold!!

The funniest one I ever saw was on the Baton Relay and we were on a QF charter flight and the entire cabin was copying the attendants every move. Poor girl, she could stop laughing as 50 odd pairs of hands went up to "demonstrate the seat buckle"!

It was even funnier when we were all on a PER - ADL domestic flight and those same 50 hands started copying the FA! Poor girl didn't know what hit her!!

On the subject of fantastic safety demo's

I have seen the QF A380 safety demonstration. Completely revamped and is very very modern, with a subtle music background. Though the explanation is almost a copy and paste of the last version (bar the check list!!) there are a few additions and they relate mostly to First Class including different operation of the seat belt and a different brace position.

The voice over is by a woman
