Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Confusingly, Joey is not Mr John's real name
And interesting how one of the Australia's greatest ever players can be almost anonymous in non-League states

If he plays Rugby League then the competition is really limited to a couple of states in the East.

Sorry about that. A lot of posts are about footballers or other sports people who I have never heard of and unless you follow the sport you just don't know who they are. I assumed an Australian TV celebrity would have a higher profile with the majority of folks.
Me too. Never heard of them.
+1 and case in point.

Some of us just aren't into celebs.
On one occasion Charlize Theron walked right in front of me as i was walking to the SYD Flounge.I just thought some blonde bimbo.:D
Then when ensconced in my chair overlooking the airport mrsdrron went shopping. When she came back she said "do you know who's sitting next to you."No idea.It was Gretel Packer.
But I do know a few footballers and cricketers unlike mrsdrron.Late last year she was flying back from Tassie and on the MEL-Syd sector was the Indian cricket team. Some time later when we were watching the news a picture of Virat Kohli was shown. That's the fellow who was sitting next to me.She had no idea at the time.

Well 3 eastern states and 1 territory for league, The majority of the australian population. Plus the far eastern state. Northern England people do actually turn up and watch league.
If we look at Union, they even play that in Adelaide.

Adam Spencer has been at the Sydney Hilton for my last few visits.

RL. List of Rugby League International Federation members - Wikipedia

I'm more of a Rugby man myself, but the error you read past, is the standard you accept :)
While they may list these countries, I'd love to see the registered players which for some reason League never seems to release - it would actually be good if they did so we could see if there is growth worldwide for the code.

Call me cynic, but I'm of the view that the NRL says one thing about growth but really all they're wanting to do is protect their golden goose (SOO) as much as they can, when they really should be poring money into the game to prosper outside the Eastern seaboard.

I follow both codes and also love to watch AFL and envy how well their game has grown in all aspects of participation throughout Australia, but we're kidding ourselves that Union is by far the bigger (and quite quickly growing) version worldwide of the oval ball codes - even if the ARU dropped the ball along time ago in Australia.

But all of these codes absolutely pale in comparison to the 'real' football worldwide anyhow (which has and is growing massively in Australia as well) :):)
