Julia Gillard seated just across the aisle from me on Qf 7 today in J ....boarded with a lot of fuss from the FAs edit she must be CL and wonder why she's not upgraded to F!
QF 9 landing into DXB about an hour ago, ground staff were holding a sign for a Ms Julia Gillard, whoever she is.
I don't think she was in F, as I would have seen here, so perhaps she was in J?
Sophie Monk in the QF Dom J lounge now. Walked past on her mobile and all I heard was "fark!"
Richard Wilkins on QF11 to LA yesterday in J (last minute equipment change to a 747 from an A380). The crew were very obviously used to having him aboard.
Simply called The Private Suite, the new terminal, which is situated in its own secluded and protected location, will be available to celebrities (and other VIPs) for a hefty sum. First, there’s the $7,500 annual membership fee, then you’ll pay an additional $2,700 per domestic flight and $3,000 per international flight for the privilege of using the exclusive space (both fees cover groups up to four people). While taking 10 domestic flights in one year could set you back almost $40,000, there’s no denying you’ll be traveling — or at least waiting for your flight — in the lap of luxury.
The Private Suite is operated by a private security firm known as Gavin de Becker & Associates, and has already sold over 1,200 memberships. Mr. de Becker summed up the mission of The Private Suite, saying that “They can have sex in here, change clothes, have arguments — we never come in and never knock on the door without a phone call first to the room,” says Mr. de Becker. The suites, he says, “give people the one thing they never get at an airport: peace.”
A few years back i had just boarded my flight from Sydney to LA in first class and sat down in my seat when one of the girls from my office called me. While on the phone this familiar faced actor walked past and I mentioned it to my caller and because I didn't know the dudes name she asked me to snap a pic and send it to her. Turns out it was Robert Pattinson. Anyway I grab my phone and click and next thing I know this big mouth yank is in my face gibbering about privacy and other rubbish, turned out it was his bodyguard. Well being no shrinking violet I promptly stood up and told him to go coughk himself which caused a bit of a stir with the staff and saw this jerk disappear to his own seat. Funniest thing of all was in LA airport where I was waiting on the APEC queue and was going through immigration rather quickly when this clowns entourage turned up and tried to walk to the front of the line and get priority, only to be told as a group by a none to happy immigration lady to get lost and join the rest of the people at the end of the main immigration line. Made my day.
Seal in the Qantas FLounge at LAX tonight. Seating was tight, amd he moved from a cough ear the main walkway to sit across from me at a two-seater between the walkway inside the lounge and the comfy chairs overlooking at atrium. He was off to the UK based on what he said on the phone.
I disappeared whenI got the text that my shower was ready & didn't see him again afterwards.
Kinda funny as about 3-4 yrs ago, I saw Heidi Klum in the T4 Flagship lounge.
Who is SEAL?
He sang a song and was married to someone who earned a lot of money as she was photogenic and skinny.
Hope you didn't mention the war!
Last week I saw someone familiar in J SYD-LAX, and then today read a news article showing Saroo Brierley on who's life the movie 'Lion' was based.
Significantly larger security presence than usual this morning at breakfast in SYD.
No idea who was there, but several guys in suits at every entry / exit point with earwigs. And some other guys roaming in plain clothes.
No issue for my ingress or egress though. They just seemed to be standing there checking everyone out as the passed by.
Probably Liverpool FC.
