Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

I think it's fascinating that every PM takes their own luggage out of C-1 for the flight - I can only assume its done for the optics on the news.

Its because staff generally have more luggage to look after!

But seriously, there is a luggage hold that is being unloaded further down the back of the aircraft which would be being unloaded by ground staff.

Also, no PJs or amenity kits... BYO toothbrush.

I hope there are subtitles for his Wagner Opera this time. A superb example of '101 ways to alienate your constituents' and goes to show how removed from reality some pollies are.

Bob Carr Complains About Flying Business Class And The Lack Of English Subtitles For A Wagnar Opera In His Memoir | Business Insider

He was also on our flight QF127 to HKG. Old 747 confiig. and in the first class section. On a couple of my walks around the cabins I did not see him watching the IFE , but sleeping and not in QF pyjamas !!!

Never seen QF127 has Opera as a choice?

The article mentions that it was SQ who got a letter of complaint from Bob - the lack of Wagner subtitles was one of many gripes not sure whether real or imagined.

It definitely conveyed that Bob felt travelling in any class less than F was beneath him.
Yes I know the article well. It was tongue in cheek from Bob. At the time, Abbott was in his Mr No ascendancy and The Australian had no sense of humour or irony.

I viewed Bob Carr as the biggest dag we unleashed on the world (after Kevin Rudd of course).
It may be difficult to top these two in the dags of the decade contest when they were traveling.

I thought the thread titles was 'Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging'

Don't worry Tony Abbott now trumps them collectively and then some.

Dag wouldn't be the first word I'd use to describe either of those delightful gentlemen who've done so much to further the country.

If so this thread would have petered out on page 1. Many non famous entities listed here - they should be posted with a google explanation.

I would have thought many were infamous rather than famous or non famous.:p;)

I had to google so many posts that I gave up trying to work out why they were "famous".

Always Best to include a wikipedia page or google search if there is any doubt;)

I'm glad I am not the only one that thinks that... I said to my wife about 12 months ago I wish people would put a link to Wikipedia or something similar as I have no idea who 80% of the people are on this thread. I just assumed I live with my head buried in the sand. A few posts back someone mentioned about a Chris Judd and the fact that he was crying on the plane. It took me a search to find out that he plays aerial ping pong and he must have had a bad day...

I agree, politicians have a thankless job and I believe that both those gentlemen played a significant part in Australia's political history. And no... I am a swing voter having voted Liberal the last 10 years or so. (have been voting since 1977)... Sorry getting OT.

It appears I must be careful with my sarcasm ;)
