FlyDubai incident 30/9

Two further FlyDubai pilots arrested in relation to this incident

Certainly makes you think twice about flying this airline.

Quote from the video:

"Whether FlyDubai even remains in business any more or not, three of their pilots get detained on the question of terrorist activity. I don't know how an airline survives that".
This worries me -Seat Son and his family often use FlyDubai.

Whether guilt by association moves to actual complicity is the unknown. But what it clearly demonstrates is a very poor recruitment process at a time of business expansion has led to significant reputational damage from narrowly avoiding an international incident not unlike the attack on the twin towers. Given the optics for the Dubai leadership I would expect they are going to be not only thorough but are more likely to land on an excessive response than perhaps would be the case under Australian law.

Seems like one of the pilots who stepped in was a local. Ex GA pilot from QLD, Fiji Pilot, son of ex Chief Pilot of Fiji Airways also. Top job!
