Eamon Sullivan - the freestyle champion swimmer

Putting forward an Aussie swimmer reminds me of the time I flew Y SYD-LAX United back in 1999 just after the Pan Pacific Champs. The entire US swimming team were on that flight in economy, including Jenny Thompson (seated two rows behind me). She'd just kicked butt, creaming whoever we put up against her but yet there they were in Y. All well behaved too, seemed a nice lot.

While this might be debatable considering one was a nobody when I flew next to them and the other was a soon to be nobody....

Sat next to Tanya Plibersek on a flight from Brisbane to Sydney the day before the election on a status run.

Sat next to Greg Combet on Friday SYD-MEL. Had to turf him out of my seat, reckons he didn't realise what the seat numbers were. Yeah right.

Kerry Stokes in the Brisbane Qantas Lounge as I type. Guess there's no Chairman's Lounge here.

Dr Karl (or is it Dr Carl). In the lobby lounge of the Hyatt Regency Perth just now.

Lobby lounge is mostly hoarded off with blowers due to a leaky roof recebtly .

And on QF23 on Sunday in 1A was Michael Kirby.

Now we're talking. If the good Justice Kirby doesn't go down in history as one of the great Australians of our time there's something really broken about our country. Future GG or President material if ever there was one.

There certainly is a CL at BNE domestic.

It's where the QP used to be at the turn of the century.

That explains it, it was the international lounge. I was a bit sleep deprived when I typed that post, having just landed from the overnighter from SIN, transiting to SYD.

Kerry "Skull" O'Keefe waiting for QF 735
SYD to ADL at 7.10am Thursday 5 Dec 2013.
Good luck with 2nd Test commentary

Kirsten Dunst on QF107 on Wed 4th Dec.
Two of my daughters were in Zone A so presume that she went upstairs as she wasn't in the same section. They saw her again on arrival at LAX.

David Beckham.

On a points flight I organised for one of my customers, (Mark) and his family, flew Tokyo to London on British Airways First class.
David Beckham was in seat 1A, and they were in 1E/1F/2E/2F.

They said he was wearing a baseball cap and kept to himself, but on disembarkation, he did say hi and he got to leave first and had his own car pick him up, then the rest of the cabin was allowed out.

Test umpire Marais Erasmus in the ADL QC with a number of ICC types. Probably heading for Perth.
