Foreign Minister Julie Bishop in the QF MEL J lounge this afternoon, looking for somewhere to charge her phone.

Julie greeted our flight from Sydney yesterday morning (not me personally of course!), and then Bronwyn Bishop was on the flight back to Sydney in the evening.

Earlier this year I checked-in behind Jimmy Barnes, then followed him through customs and into the lounge...I was not stalking him, promise. Had a quick chat, told him my wife would be soooo jealous and told him I wouldn't be able to give him an autograph. HE laughed, I laughed, his QANTAS envoy snidely brushed me....life was good.

I guess with her beehive hairdo it was possible to recognise her from behind although I think she toned it down a bit after (Sen) John Button referred to her as Marge Simpson during question time.

It is still a .... Prominent feature shall we say! She sat in row 1 after all.

American actor/Comedian Steve Carell in the QF First Class check-in at SYD about 2pm on last Tuesday 26/11/13.
Didn't speak with him, but very funny guy. Unless his bags were delivery beforehand he only had carry on.

I was once sat behind Baby John Burgess and his wife in QF J from MEL-SYD. And once in the dim, dark past my flight was held up for Michael Hutchence to enter and find his seat somewhere behind me in Y. He was gorgeous and also appeared quite drunk. :)
