Hi,

I have a f lounge invite ( the white card for one use only in either melbourne or Sydney )

Expiry date is dec 2012, however I don't have another o/s trip planned till next year.

I would love to be able to experience the f lounge, so was wondering if anyone has an invite with a longer expiry date, who may be able to use mine this year and who may want to swap theirs with mine ?

I would be very grateful, as I have heard so much about the lounge on this forum......

Hi,

How did you obtain this, I wasn't aware they were in the market place?

I can't remember exactly, but it was sent to my husband from Qantas, so it was either when he made gold, or during the stoppage last year....
Luckily, my husband is now platinum himself, but as I don't usually fly with him, I was hoping I could make use of his pass when I go early next year.

I am not sure there are any in circulation with dates post Dec 31 this year.

Sent from my GT-I9300T using AustFreqFly

AFAIK they where a one off printing which was then issued to some pax who had trouble with flights being delayed, cancelled or grounded due to the industrial action. I highly doubt you'd find any with an exp date after dec.

I suspect the other posters are probably right about no passes with validity beyond 2012 (that is only speculation though). You could take a domestic leg of a JQ international flight from MEL-SYD (or vv), and get around 2 hours in the F lounge, enough time for a good feed and some champers, and possibly a massage. :) I like the MEL one better FWIW.

only the one lot printed AFAIK...

Like already mentioned, do a JQ flight from the INT terminal.. can get nearly 3 hours in if you are organised. longer if the flight is delayed...

Thanks, that might be an option as I need to go to Sydney next month.
Do you know what flights leave from melb int to Sydney?

Yes, that is early. Maybe I will do it the other way around. I do have a trip where I need to get from gold coast to Melbourne. So....if I only have a carry on bag, and if I have two separate bookings from coolangatta to Sydney, then Sydney to Melbourne, can I get my boarding pass for 2nd leg from coolangatta, and therefore, bypass the checkin counter at Sydney ?

JQ35 leaves at 2pm now, so earlier than usual. and can be hard to get the second BP (which you need the D sticker on it).

Well done, enjoy the time !!
