My application was sent on 8 February, too. An auto-response received that same day but nothing since then.
Given the recent reports in this thread, I sent a follow up email today and received this response:

Thank you for your mail. This is to confirm that we have received your application and will be processing the same shortly. Please be informed that
all eligible members will receive your Etihad Guest Gold card within a month of your application. We will inform you in the event your application has not been considered.

Well, great. Except that is the same message as the one received six weeks ago.
Not the end of the world, of course, but "under-promise and over-deliver" could be a better way to go, rather than the reverse.
