Can a EY Gold member access the VA domestic lounges when flying VA metal Y? Also can I bring in a guest.

From va's site: Etihad Airways | Virgin Australia

"Velocity Platinum members and Guests travelling in Business Class receive complimentary entry into Etihad Pearl Business Class lounges worldwide*.
Velocity Gold members receive complimentary access to the Al Reem Lounge in Abu Dhabi and Etihad Pearl lounges in all other locations*.
Etihad Guest Gold and Gold Elite members receive complimentary entry into theVirgin Australia lounge network*.
* On the same day of travel only."

It doesn't actually say whether you need to be on a va or codeshare flight. From etihad's site http://www.etihad.com/en-AU/about-us/Our-partners/virgin-australia/
It says you and a guest on short haul domestic can access va's lounges.

Thanks. Looks like a yes. I will call the lounge just to make sure.
 
Oh damn they want an actual copy of the scanned card.... that will probably take a week to come in the mail... Oh well lol

Which I guess means that it hasn't reached 500 applications yet.
 
I have just had a read of the website and the life of Gold Guest is the rest of the calendar year, plus two years, plus three months. If they apply that to the complementary memberships that is March 2016!
 
The EY Gold status is handy for my VA domestic trips :) Hopefully my match comes through :)
 
Has anyone's match come through yet? Wonder how long it will take :)

I guess we're are all going to find out what criteria they accept by the 30th. It was limited to 500 wasn't it? I'm not holding my breath.
