EY Gold Status match

I haven't had anything official, I'm just assuming it has failed.

I got nothing here. Still can see the email I sent to the status match address in my Sent Mail box. I'm dubious as to whether I should follow up, or chalk it up to, "oh well, you tried, it's not a right, get over it."

I applied 10 feb am sydney time so I know I'm close to the cutoff/ change in conditions. I've not yet been matched, but neither have I received a rejection email, which was advised I would get if unsuccessful. I'm not giving up hope yet, but I'm not booking etihad yet either.

My application was sent on 8 February, too. An auto-response received that same day but nothing since then.
Given the recent reports in this thread, I sent a follow up email today and received this response:

<Dear Guest,

Thank you for your mail. This is to confirm that we have received your application and will be processing the same shortly. Please be informed that all eligible members will receive your Etihad Guest Gold card within a month of your application. We will inform you in the event your application has not been considered.

Warm Regards,
Etihad Guest team> [Bolding is mine]

Well, great. Except that is the same message as the one received six weeks ago.

Not the end of the world, of course, but "under-promise and over-deliver" could be a better way to go, rather than the reverse. :)

Well I didn't get mine within a month (still waiting for it)...

Maybe I won't give up then :).

I do feel sorry for the clerk in Abu Dhabi who was probably told he would get a few hundred applications to process and probably has tens of thousands to do now, they must look forward to having Fridays and Saturdays off.

You are a step ahead of most of us, though, blackcat20. You did get your Match, at least.
Hope the card arrives soon - and that a little of the luck rubs off on the rest of us. :)

That is true. But just confirming that they arent sticking to their own schedule.

Yes, blackcat.
And also that their auto reply text is exactly the same as it was six weeks ago, when they must know that this is not happening.

If you read any of the previous status match, I don't think any of us got our cards within a month. You'll find out in your Etihad statement before. My requalification gold card was dispatched 6/2/14, but I haven't received it up until now, but given my previous history, I already expect it to take that long.

I don't. Must be a cushy life just checking these things; given the rate they seem to be approved, it seems EY aren't exactly cracking the whip on the said person and they are getting their regulation Friday and Saturday. Maybe even regulation breaks and lunch for that matter.

If that person has other work to do then it's a simple case of throwing this on the side pile and the wait increases.

The irony here is that this is just a status match promotion. Had it been an elite member grievance, we may have had much more legitimate grounds to have a crack at EY for their lackadaisical attention.

Yeah IME it takes ages for an EY card of any description to arrive. My original EY Gold card (earned BIS) took about 2 months to arrive, and then my renewed card last year still hadn't arrived by the end of April - even though I had earned enough Tier miles to requalify the previous November and they claimed they had sent the new card in mid Feb. This year I'll be dropping back to Silver (I assume), but I've heard nothing about a new card even though my current one expires 9 days from now. Bizarre, but that seems to be the way it is.

Still got nothing from EY. No Gold, no email of process, no email of success, no email of failure.

My pack arrived today. Card and two leather luggage tags (which each contain a card as well).

My pack arrived today. Rather underwhelming pack.

Not sure the tags are real leather, but I shouldn't complain! I'm only going to use it to get into the VA lounge if I end up flying VA rather than QF.
