G'day Guys,
First time poster, long time reader.. and all that.
Hoping you can help me.
My SC's reset at the end of the month, and I'm going to fall short of Platinum by around 150 SC's. Unfortunately, I would have easily made this (with PER-AKL and PER-ADL flights) had I not had sinus surgery yesterday. I'm now grounded for 2-4 weeks.
Next month (14th) I'll be flying PER-SYD-DFW-MCO and returning a week later.
A number of my friends have managed to have some concessions made to their SC reset period, but the FF staff seem to be reluctant to help me out.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this? I'm a little frustrated at the timing of my surgery, but unfortunately there is not much I can do about it now. I would have easily made Platinum this period had I not had it. Had I missed out because I couldn't make enough flights, I wouldn't have an issue.
I'm fairly close to Virgin Platinum (thanks status match!), so could fly with virgin to LAX, but would prefer to stick with Qantas as my business carrier.
I guess, I'm a little frustrated at the lack of flexibility/customer service.
Drew
