Hi
My mother in law has 90k expiring qf points, if she transfers them to me do they expire and could I transfer them back at a later stage?

Cheers

When do they expire?

Sign up for Everyday Rewards and go and spend $31 at Woolworths and the points are good for another 18 months.

Transferring points does not stop them expiring.

What JohnK suggests is the simplest and easiest way of stopping points expiring.

Even simpler is to get the Qantas search bar. 1 search every 18 months and you extend the life of the points.

Family transfers don't count as activity correct but I thought you could move them into an active account without them expiring. I wouldn't move the points back after that point as there has been issues noted previously by doing so.

Transferring points does not stop them expiring. ...
That is true ...

... If however the receiving account has been, or is, active then the points won't expire. ... They take on the life of the new account.

Not wistanding that, the points can indeed still expire if on theother hand, the recipient account has also been inactive.

I must agree with mannej.. best way is the search toolbar or woolworths one
