ExpertFlyer beta program - April 2025

Business seat maps are working for me again.

Only remaining issue is it's including seats that don't exist on the configuration. Like on the A330 you see 23DEFG, 56AB, 57AB, 58AB, 58JK.

Pick First Suites on SQ A380 and it shows Premium Economy seat map. Select First and it shows First Suites.

It’s not great what is going on. They should’ve delayed go live further again.

As of today the main issues with QF seats maps appear to have been rectified.

One thing I have found with the new UI is the saved query dropdowns do not update/reload after new queries are saved or old ones are deleted. This appears to be an aspect of how the new interface works with the objects/elements being loaded at login rather than at every page update as the old interface would do.

As a software engineer, this is what happens when "management" and "delivery leads" have the final say over engineering.

Utter nonsense. I'm being polite ..

Change for the sake of change. Absolute garbage. Why didn't they just leave it alone and fix any bugs?

Oh, and I've been a programmer since 1968 (Emidec 2400).

For those (like me) just using the free functionality. You might want to check your subscription options - a peasant surprise might await. Haven’t had a chance to check how pleasant…

Can’t determine what this is about? My premium sub ended a few months ago and didn’t renew with the issues that were ongoing. Looking now it seems the same options are there as per usual for free members? i.e. 5 day trial and then full fare

It gave me a “Free” 12mth option. I still haven’t had a chance to fully explore what that means. But it didn’t charge me to create an alert for a specific seat becoming free on my next flight. Usually it’s ~US$1.

Better than paying for it, dude.
Been in software for over 25 years. The technical chicanery is one thing. The saying things are fixed when they haven't been is another.

They won't be getting another penny from me.

Ok - I assumed I was on that after dropping the premium level, but may have been I need to ‘subscribe’ to enable it. The features list shows that it includes 1 free seat alert, so I wouldn’t get too excited until you’ve done a second without any charge!

Ah! It was getting late and I only saw the first line on my phone! 😂

Edit: although still odd that a free “Trial” is for 12mths and not just 1mth?

Probably just easier for them to program it that way? Might be different if there was perpetual/lifetime memberships as well (thank God there’s not, actually, as I might have signed up a couple of years ago and would deeply regret that now!)
