My next Award flight to Europe is booked for next April but Japan is looking really nice at this time of year and is still good value for an AA redemption!!

Can almost guaranteee that the WWR offers will roll in every time I am O/S for any period of of 1 week +. :-|

Got an offer in the mail: Spend $40 at BWS and receive 2,000 bonus points.

I went online and entered some stuff and the prices are so much dearer than Dan's that even if I took the $10 off option, I'ld still be paying more for the exact same stuff than I would at Dan's.

I like points but don't need them that badly.

You need to buy something that they have on deep special.

But yes BWS I think of like a convenience store for alcohol and so is generally pricey. Normally there is something that is an ok to good buy. so if I gain a good Points deal I just have a quick look after my grocery shop.

OK; I thought that might be the case. My local BWS and Dan's stores are both within 2km of home so they are both "convenient" for me. I'll have a wander through BWS next time I'm at Woolies and see if any of their "deep specials" take my fancy.

Mum - spend $145/week for 2 weeks and earn 5500 bonus points
Wife - spend $250/ week for 2 weeks and earn 10000 bonus points

Should be able to achieve first 2 quite easily. Can probably even achieve the 3rd but no need to push too hard.
