Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

In the old Everyday Rewards system they used to have a series of welcome offers which would start to arrive about a week after you joined. They don't appear to be doing that at the moment. The offers only seem to come for new accounts if the accounts get used briefly and then ignored for a couple of months.

Make a few small transactions just to give the system an idea of what products you buy and how much you spend each week. By keeping you totals low they might send you an offer with a reasonable target. The first offer might just be a double or triple points offer just to see what sort of incentives you respond to. If you only started the account late in the year you might have joined in between various offer periods and they don't have enough data to target you correctly. Some offer promotions are based on a 4 week cycle and other offers don't usually go out during this time, even if you decided not to participate in the 4 week offer.

It's also good to check your email preferences and subscriptions, just to check if you have allowed targeted offers and other areas of interest. You'll find these settings in your account.

The targeted offers aren't listed in your account. Your account only lists the general offers, fuel vouchers and products on special which Woolworths thinks you are interested in.

hmmm good to know!
thanks, Rainbowgirl!

Some really weird offers this week

Mum - spend $65/week for 2 weeks for 4,000 bonus points
Dad - spend $30 week 1 for 1,000 bonus points, spend $40 week 2 for 2,000 bonus points, spend $50 week 3 for 3,000 bonus points
Wife - spend $120/week for 2 weeks for 3,300 bonus points or spend $160/week for 2 weeks for 4,400 bonus points
Me - spend $215/week for 2 weeks for 6,600 bonus points or spend $270/week for 2 weeks for 8,800 bonus points

Should be able to achieve the first 3 offers. The last offer is simply ridiculous.

When I turned down the ridiculous offer, they asked me to complete a survey - Told them it was more than I (actually Mrs WF) normally spend.

I wonder if they would actually be interested in who does most of the shopping when two cards are linked? Or should I unlink?

Happy wandering

Fred

Last month I got the offer of spend $40 for two weeks for 1000 points, or spend $80 for 2000 points.
Since I do most of my shopping at Coles at the moment (to get 10,000 points), I opted for the first one.
A few days ago I got a new offer, spend $50 for two weeks for 1000 points or spend $100 for 2000 points. Not sure which way I should go... still working on spending with Coles at the moment, but perhaps I need to let that one be for a while.

Part of the reason I'm with Telstra prepaid is that Coles includes recharges in the weekly spend amount. Woolies doesn't. My $40 recharge would more likely cost me $30. I can live with 4GB of data a month that I can use. Reliability of Telstra network still beats Optus int he places I normally go.

The last month where I had spending at both supermarkets i was stocking up on some recharge vouchers at coles with a few specials added in, and doing my main grocery shop at Woolies. Helped me earn around $120 for a month of shopping between the two.

How do you get these offers? I don't see anything like this on my account. It is only a month old, don't know if thats an issue?

Make a couple of small purchases. Then don't use the card for a few months. Offers will then start rolling in.

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

I completed week 1 of my 2 week offer. The points haven't hit my account yet. Some offers have been instant credit unless they are dependent on multiple weeks spending. This offer indicated it was points for each week. The fine print does say that it will take up to 7 business days to credit the points so I'll have to check my account a couple of times.

The fine print says that no other offers can be taken up in the transaction so if you happen to have overlapping offers, please check your fine print to see what conditions apply.

Nice try, Woolworths.

Mine is £235 for 4000 points over 2 weeks. Not going to happen. I'm not even going to activate this, although it is the first Woolworths offer I have received for some time.

Agree not a good offer for spend required in pounds :)

This sounds very complicated. You'd have to make sure that the final transaction amount after the $ discount was still over the minimum spend threshold in order to get both the points and the $ off discount.

Are you sure it's the same card number? Was there accidentally another account created. I'm wondering if it's an error by Woolworths. I have seen both of these offers used as We Miss you offers but only one offer applies at any given time per card. Good luck anyway. If Woolworths have made an error hopefully they will apologise and give you the points and the discount anyway.

Also, check the terms and conditions of these offers. Some offers recently have had a notation that says that no other offers can be taken up at the same time. Some of your weeks overlap and some don't but the technique I've mentioned above about the total after the $ discount still applies. Of course the total will change each week due to the varying targets.

My 1000 bonus points for my week 1 of 2 offer have posted to my account.

My triple points from Big W have posted as well but they are one point short of what should have been posted. I won't be chasing one point. It's annoying however. The interesting thing is that an odd amount of points have posted to the account. On previous occasions things have always been rounded up or rounded down to the nearest even number.

No sign of the 5x petrol points yet.

I finally (after almost 2 years) got what appears to be a targeted offer. 2 weeks, 2 target goals.
Problem is, the lower target is still 4+x my normal weekly spend.

Positive.

No.

I made a $40 spend and got $10 off. At the end of the docket was a reminder about the other offer. So I assume I need to make 2 separate qualifying purchases to trigger both offers this week and next week.

Okay, thanks for the feedback. Good luck and happy points and discount collecting.
