Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

How about a dark choc one Nigelinoz...I have 1 3/4 blocks of Old Gold to eat...or cook. Hmm, maybe a fondue at my dinner party and I can get rid of my excess wine and chocolate at the same time :D

It has a Tim Tam biscuit base Lindsay so using dark chocolate may make it so rich you couldn't eat it but no harm in trying.

1. Likewise. Better to put on 500K points but - that's two RTW trips in J, my wife would excuse me any amount of chocolate for that!
2. Must hop down to Woollies.
3. And lumber back.
4. My recipe for Skyring's quick chocolate cake:
4a. 1 block dark choc, 1 block milk, 1 block white
4b. Gently melt over low heat in a saucepan
4c. Stir to get a three-colour marble swirl effect
4d. Let cool in fridge
4e. Serve.

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

Attempting to get points via chocolate is a bad idea, 6km and 7747 steps later and I have not burned enough to account for the chocolate, grrr!

The return walk to my local Woolies is about 2.5km ... not enough :(

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

Damn, bought 5 packets of chocolates today in Big W for the office - but got a guaranteed 250 bonus points for that ;).
Hate to hail on your parade, LW, but it looks like Big W isn't on the list. It says Woolworths/Safeway supermarkets. Which is a bit of a pain, as the Dickson Woolies is a far longer walk than the Civic Big W. Then again, my wretch of a wife has been onto me to get more exercise. Looking at the list, some 40g bars qualify, so I don't have to consume a family block each day on the walk home.

Skyring, that's why I said "damn" but 250 bonus points is worth more than the minute hope of part of the 5M pie (50K per draw)

Of course. It's been a long time since anyone accused me of being quick on the uptake.

Just of out idle interest, but how did you score 250 points? I think the EDR points kicks in after $30, and the usual CC spend is 1:1, so, um that'd be $140 worth of chocolate, which in Cadbury terms is probably a shopping basket packed to the brim.

But yeah, they reckon blocks of Cadburys are one of the biggest supermarket sellers in Australia, and there's a lot of people in the intersection of the QFF, EDR and Oz sets, so there's going to be millions of valid entries, especially as no extra effort is required and the blocks with the competition package are going to be selected preferentially. You don't even have to know about the comp to be in it.

There's always the legend of David "Pudding Guy" Phillips to sustain us.

Its 500K per draw, worth walk to work for LOL!

Do you pass a 7/11 on your way to work? if so why not take advantage of the free Boost bar promotion ? You collect vouchers which can be sent to your mobile or email,
take it to 7/11,get a free Boost bar,and you can get one every day till 11 March.
60gm Boost is easier to work off than a big block.

Seems to be two downsides here. There's no chance of points through a card purchase, nor do you get a chance to win a half million. Now if they were selling these things for (say) $50 each, it would be a better deal.

Point taken but imo free chocolate is free chocolate-that and the fact that I gave up using my EDR card ages ago so I don't bother about the points.

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

Bought my 3 blocks this week (one on each EDR card). It was an interesting ordeal at the self serve checkout.

I had two "spend $30 for a 100 bonus points". So, one lot gets to $30, pay, forgot to put a chocolate bar in. Did a separate chocolate purchase with that EDR card. Then did the rest, and another final transaction with the last choc bar. All the time getting questioned by Miss 4yo VC what I am doing or that there was still stuff in the trolley.

Also got another free bar! One from three. I hope I have as much luck in the competition.
