Etihad Guest partners with JetBlue

A recent west >east coast flight on JetBlue was very good and we would revisit...

Etihad historically has been a bit tricky for partner redemptions, so I wouldn't get too excited before we see rates and availability. Also neither airline is in oneworld

What has oneworld has to do with EY and B6?

I was fortunate to redeem my EY miles on VA, NZ and AA prior the redemption changes.
I used a bit for VA with the dynamic pricing but not as attractive as it used to be.

I used the remaining ones for a J award LHR-SYD 2 weeks out before flying - was actually upgraded to F between LHR-AUH.

I still don't know if it was because I am EY Gold, if the flight was overbooked or just a nice thing from Revenue Management / Station Manager as it was my first EY Guest redemption on EY metal.
