Etihad Delays/Cancellations

Friday 5 December 2025 has seen EY451, the 1635 hours SYD-AUH (B789 A6-BLV) take off at 1721 hours. Gate arrival should be approximately 0040 (50 late) on Saturday 6, hopefully not resulting in missed connections at what for Abu Dhabi would be a busy time of the night.

On Thursday 11 December, EY454, the 2105 hours mid evening AUH-SYD (A35X A6-XWG) took off at 2241. Friday 12 sees SYD gate arrival at 1919 hours, 84 minutes late.

B789 A6-BLI on EY461, the 1820 hours Monday 15 December MEL-AUX was in the sky at 1938. Gate arrival should be 0220 hours on Tuesday 16, 70 minutes behind schedule.

EY454 (Wednesday 24 December, the 2105 hours nicely timed overnight to SYD) took off at 2212 hours so Christmas Day arrival becomes 1839 hours tonight, 44 late. The return flight EY455 is not timetabled out until 2135 hours so in theory ought be bang on time.

It isn't always possible (or desirable if an airline is trying to maximise asset usage) but this again shows the advantage of timetabling a longer than minimum turnaround at an outstation.
