B789 A6-BLP on EY461, the 2230 hours Sunday 23 December 2018 MEL to AUH took off at 2348. On Monday 24, arrival should be at 0632 hours, 57 late.

Passengers on EY450, the Tuesday 1 January 2019 scheduled 1020 hours morning flight from AUH to SYD (A380 A6-APF) must have had an enforced long day in the Middle East as it took off at 2226 hours. Consequently, SYD arrival on 2 January is 1855 not 0655, exactly 12 hours behind schedule.

The return flight to AUH, EY451 normally departs SYD at this time of year at 1640 hours but is expected tonight to push back at about 2105, 265 minutes late, again meaning many missed connections.

Due to the Sydney storms that stuck about 1715 hours on Saturday 5 January and have continued well into the evening, A380 A6-APB, the 1640 hours SYD - DOH (EY451) had not taken off by 2218. Surely the crew, if the original one, would be unable to take the aircraft due to insufficient crew duty hours remaining.

UPDATE: EY451 managed to push back at about 2235 hours.
