Keen to hear a follow up on this please

Well what can I say, outstanding!!! The FA's and in house chef were amazing, we mixed and matched our menu to suite our taste buds, along with all the bollinger, reds, whites down to desert wines. The wife and I created our own deserts along with our chef. Hard product couldn't be faulted, We slept a straight 8 hours after our 4 course meal. The bed down service is a nice touch. If I could complain about something it would be the movie choices, not a huge selection and I'm afraid I will be getting the same choices on the way back as we will be still in the same month. I think we may have got a little more attention from the FA's and chef as there were only us and one other couple, four vacant suites. AUH F lounge is quite nice, wife got a massage in between flights. I will post some pics when I get a moment. Got any questions just ask as I probably missed a few bits here. Boomy - sorry I'm a bit late with this, but I meant that if you could see a booking on AA, then book it, regardless of which airline it was available on. I made the comment as when you try to book on AA, and there are international or multi-sector trips or other complications involved, they have a suggestion that you call them.

Last night I just cancelled 2x F awards on the A380 AUH-SYD for August 17th.
If they can be of any use to anybody please grab them fast I fear they will not last.

Thanks for sharing, last minute awards are not easy to find, hope someone here will use those seats.

Nabbed myself 2 F tix to LHR for the honeymoon in July next year. A380 to LHR, but 77W to AUH. How awful!:D

The plan is to hope that seats on the A380 open up for me in future, but if Etihad suites is your worst-case, you're doin okay.

What surprised me was that it was super easy - only 15 mins on the phone and only cost AUD83 in taxes per ticket. Stoked!

I'm on EY F in a couple of weeks, using AA miles and went to book either a free Limo or coach (shudder) after landing at AUH but the system has knocked me back immediately after entering the EY booking ref. I assume its because I'm on an AAward (although my EY guest number is in there, and its an EY flight number). Does that sound right, or has anyone managed to jag one of these services after using AA miles?

And ... sorry for the noob question ... I guess its visa on arrival at AUH? I've been there before but everything then was arranged by my Travel Agent and I don't remember.

Yes, I have it for an upcoming trip, just checked and it's still there. Nothing on departure because I'm only transiting SYD.

Yes to the "visa on arrival" part, too.

Thanks and thanks :). Yes, I was too fast on the keyboard. EY's phone numbers here in Canada say the nearest (Toronto) numbers close at 5pm (so I didn't call), but of course it bounced to a 24hr centre in London when I did call, and they confirmed that I was eligible for the limo AUH to Dubai  . Also on the Sydney end, which I wasn't even contemplating!

ps the guy confirmed that yes, the web site will reject a limo booking, as the ticket is an AA one, but calling in will fix it.

Interesting, maybe they've changed something since I did it back in April. Hopefully it sticks now :)

No. I pursued it with the AUH call centre on the day, but no explanation ever came (DUB weren't answering their phone). Luckily it was a Sunday and I had left a lot of time spare, so a taxi did the trick. Limo on arrival in Australia was hassle-free.

Snagged two F SYD-AUH on the 777 in December on the day I wanted. For purposes of reference the Guest site said 2 seats left and AA agent could see them.

Yeah I've seen plenty of availability on the 77W ex-SYD 3+ months out.

Now have my hotels either side of my EY flights confirmed, so called to book the 'sedans'. Dead easy; done in a few minutes. Immediately got confirmation e-mails for all lifts and, perhaps even better I got a separate e-mail confirmation of my EY flights (AA miles) with all details listed and all confirmed. When I had previously checked the flight under my EY Guest account there was a prominent 'payment problem' notice at the top. I reckoned just communication issue between AA and EY, and yes, no doubt now. Lovely EY e-mail saying A-OK all the way through :) .

Yes I get the same error with my award booking. There probably is a problem with the payment... We didn't pay many Aa miles to fly a top quality product. That's Etihads payment problem though ; not mine.

I've flown EY F many times through AA redemptions and can confirm that that error message has always been there.
