Etihad 20% Bonus on transfers

Etihad now in MR, and there's a 20% Bonus on transfers.
Good for those with points to burn I s'pose.

Looks quite uncompetitive. They would have to give us a 100% bonus before the required miles match SQ Saver award miles:
Sydney to London return is 198653 miles in Economy, 281607 miles in business and 353646 miles in first.
Are there also saver awards available?

yes but they have fab cash and miles deals and at least you can get a First class award not like sing air at present!

Has anyone had difficulty in getting their bonus? I transferred ex Amex MR on 23 Feb and to took more than a week for the 20% bonus to show in my account - after I had used points to buy a J class to LHR. I transferred a further amount on 8 March, which show in my Etihad account, but as of today, the bonus has still not been credited. I have Amex looking into it, but without success yet.

Anyone else experiencing this tardiness?

With regard to their cost, whilst it seems higher than QF or SQ for example, the taxes payable are minimal. On my Y class SYD/LHR is was less than $200.

I transferred today around 80k to EY. Let's see if they post with the bonus within a week.

Re my earlier post about tardiness. After much pressure on Amex, the bonus points were posted some 2+weeks after the initial transfer. The excuse cited by Etihad was 'a system issue' whereby the bonus was not issued. Now fixed, but may have come too late to grab the flight I wanted!

Miles along with the 20% bonus posted into my EY account this morning! *that's less than 48 hours from redemption*
