eSims, what is your experience.

These days there are thousands of eSim sellers, but probably only a handful of wholesalers.

No idea about the Stans but I'd check reports on what underlying network carriers have the best reports in those regions, and then choose any eSim provider that covers them.. Most more publish a list.
Yes, some are better than others showing what networks (and whether they’re 5G or 3G etc).

Eskimo is one of the better ones. Just scroll to bottom of the Global Plan (or relevant Regional, Country plan) to get a list. eg

When moving around, the other thing is to work out whether it’s better to get a Regional plan (usually cheaper) or just run with a Global plan for ease.

For Eskimo, however it looks like most of the Stans are in the Global plan anyway. The good thing is you can reuse that elsewhere if there’s data left over.

It’s my main “Global” plan I have in the virtual “back pocket”.

I used a Saily eSIM a few months ago and found that lots of websites and apps were detecting it as a VPN or blocking access due to geo-restrictions. Just something to consider with eSIMs and what country your IP address appears to be from.
