Just noticed this

What about after july 1? haha

Also, does this means most fares have changed to refundable for a fee now vs credit voucher only?

  • For tickets issued on/before 30 June 2014
  • Before and after departure:
    • No refund.
  • For tickets issued on/before 01 July 2014
  • Before and after departure
    • Cancellation fee of A$400 per person applies (no charge for infants paying 10% of the fare)
    • Cancellation after No Show, ticket is non-refundable

Does this apply to everything or just certain fares? Which region/sale city? Different markets regionally had this based of Point of Sale.

Its does not apply to anything given we are post July

It means you can now get real money back instead of a credit voucher.

This will be a plus for Qantas.

I used to run away from their I class fares - I found inability to cancel and queue for refund simply to risky. I hope that this has also translated across to the I class fares - I honestly don't mind giving QF $400 dollars to cancel a $6000 fare if the need arises.

The change/cancel fees on the international tickets I have bought recently is much higher than it was in the past.

I would much rather have $100 change/cancel fee and the balance as voucher than have a $300 change/cancel fee and the balance as cash.

I guess that is just me as most of my airfares are <$1000 and travel dates fairly fixed apart from unusual circumstances.

Assuming this is a typo: was it on the issued e-ticket, the website or both?

Is anything proof-read by Qantas these days prior to it being made "live"??

Regards,

BD

I'd appreciate if you could point me in the right direction as to where you saw this as I'm keen to pass it on asap.

Hi red roo

I was looking at flight offers international from melbourne.
Business class. can't rememebe he destination but u either clicked business saver or global deal and the t&c pop up of that fare conditions came up and said that. Think it was on more than one type of fares if that makes sense?

Thanks for your prompt reply. :)

To clarify, and for your further reference, this is a typo.

Should read: For tickets issued on/after 01 July 2014
