It's an M series, but doesn't have the logo on the front. I was a little bit confused because the "Customs" website has 2 answers to the one question on it.
Looks like l'll be waiting for a few years then.

Flying into AKL today it was good to see that the Smartgate scanners are all up and operating. AKL has more readers than SYD from what I can see.

How many are there? Last time I was at AKL I only saw a couple of them airside, upstairs near the Burger King. How many do they have now?

I just remember I was a little annoyed as I was flying into SYD when I tried to use it and was told no can do as my destination (SYD) didn't have smart gate available, of course this was about 6 weeks prior to SYD opening smart gate.

This was arrival. There were 10-12 and then 3 or 4 lanes for the photo etc.

The AKL smartgates have only been in non-trial action for the least week or so.

When we came through there on the 24th November they were definately not functional.
