Hey guys, looking to go Vietnam soon.
Can someone tell me the steps involved and where to get a Tourist Visa please.

May have changed since 2018, but chexk the Aussie Vietnam embassy website.

I have taken a screen shot of the form we may have completed... pm me if you wish for a copy.

my understanding is that Vietnam only requires a negative PCR test before departing Australia. No tests on arrival and no threat of hotel quarantine. I believe they're taking vaxxed and unvaxxed - as long as you're negative. You have to apply for the e-visa and fill in a health form and download the QR code app. Can anybody confirm or elaborate on these requirements?

Regarding the need for travel insurance with 10k USD cover - is this similar to the Thailand requirement? As in we need our regular Australian travel insurance and then a local Vietnamese travel insurance that’s specifically for Covid with $10,000 USD coverage? With the Thai requirement, AXA seemed to be a good option and was about $100 AUD for 1 month, but it wouldn’t cover you for things like cancellations or stolen items. It was purely for Covid coverage. Is this the same for Vietnam? And if so, who can I buy this through? Cheers.

Luma Health seems to be the only one I can find. Surely there’s others

Yes, it’s not the prettiest website out there, but it is the right one.
I’ve used it many times (before The Troubles).
I’ve read recently that e-visas have restarted, but don’t know for sure.
Thank you.
Just want to confirm the process. I apply for the E-Visa through the link you provided. Pay $25USD online and when I arrive, I just show them the approved eVisa and of I go?

It says they do it in 3 business days but it took us 4 business days. Not a huge delay, just don’t leave it til the last minute.

Yes, that’s right.
Just follow the instructions on the websit.
Although it’s called an EVisa, you still need to print it off for the border crossing…

But there's no other fees at the border/immigrations right?
Correct, no further fees related to the evisa & border crossing.
Its conceivable that there could be some other class of fees under some other category, but I have not ever experienced any.
As alluded to above, you will also need to comply with whatever Covid related rules apply at the time…
