We are flying Emirates business out of Brisbane in September.

I see that their lounge closed last year for renovations - any indication of a reopening date?

One site said you can use the Plaza Premium lounge - is that any good?

Alternatively, can we use the Qantas lounge?

Thanks.

Visited the Plaza Premium Lounge almost exactly 12 months ago when flying EK. Here is my brief review:

EDIT: The QF lounge had not reopened when we visited but I would agree that it’s a better option.

9pm EK flight last September. Plaza Premium Lounge was very full. Food edibable and wines drinkable but nothing special. Recommend you use the QF lounge if you can.

An EK agent at the airport indicated that "lounge will open end of year" - inshallah!

Yes, you can use the QF lounge. I've done this twice in recent months when flying Emirates. Just show your business class boarding pass at the lounge entrance.
