I am looking at an award booking to Bangkok and I am unable to find anything in J on QF. I have called Qantas and the allocation has been exhausted so they are unable to release further seats.

I have found seats on Emirates to Singapore and then flights on Jetstar to BKK although this leaves 8 hours later in the morning.

I have found the Aerotel in Singapore Terminal 1 available but I believe that I can only stay here if I don't have to clear immigration for luggage. I have read that EK and JQ have an agreement in place, do you know if this would allow me to have the bag checked right though to BKK?

thanks in advance!

You can stay airside and at the Aerotel. Don't collect your luggage - you can either just leave it there and it will be stored for collection the next day, or you can ask at a transit desk for this to be done.

The transfer desk in SIN is your friend. See them before you go to Aerotel and they may be able to transfer luggage through and print boarding passes.

I'm not sure if the 3 hour check-in rules applies to transfer desk. I don't think so. Worse case scenario is you collect your luggage in morning and check-in.
