I have a couple of electronic QF lounge passes that the QF website says I can transfer to someone else. Friends of mind are going on their honeymoon and I thought it'd be nice to give them lounge access before their flight.

Do I need to transfer the passes to each of them? Or can I transfer both passes to one of them and that person can in turn transfer it to the second?

Sorry if this has already been answered. I haven't really worked out how to navigate the new forum.

You have to transfer one pass to each guest, one at a time. You just put their QFF no and surname in.
Details here:
Complimentary invitations
When transferred, they have to link the pass to the relevant booking, which should have their QFF no attached - otherwise it won't come up when they log in to their QFF account.

Any thoughts on whether the initial recipient can subsequently transfer the invitation to a third person, which may not be as not intended by the original donor?
The T&Cs suggest it might be possible..
Reason I'm asking is I might have some to offer on the 'free to a good home' thread, but I don't like the idea of them then being, potentially, passed on elsewhere.

Thanks. I'd hoped to give them both to the husband and have him them surprise his wife. But if this is how it has to be done, it's how it has to be done.

You could do it at the last moment and have him log into her QFF and do it? Assuming she doesn't log in herself...

I transferred these to my son today, he didn’t receive any notifications etc. Where abouts in his account are they sent to?

first thing WeeGraeme, that is a very nice thing you are doing! :)

second, I have heard stories that sometimes these things go wrong and people have been turned away from lounges. Make sure you read all the info here and on the QF website, so that things go smoothly. Depending on what status you are, I would also recommend calling the premium line just before the flight day to make sure it all goes smoothly.

Others here may have more up to date info on how smoothly things went for them as donors or better still, as recipients.
