The best flight to DXB are the 6.00am flights from SYD and PER but coming from MEL, there is no chance of ever taking those flights. I wish they would move those SYD and PER flights to a 9.00am departure.

Not much chance of EK ever moving the 6am flights from SYD & PER . They are there for the purpose of marketing same day arrival into LHR via DBX.

I still wonder why QF seem to struggle internationally out of PER.

EK 19 services, SQ bringing larger aircraft into PER, MH updating their product into PER same as NZ.

Every QF flight I've ever been to over the past 2 years PER-SIN has been absolute chock-a-block..

It was October originally I thought, do you have a new PR/Media link ?

No, it is still set for Oct 1, although Toulouse production line might influence this. Very happy with this outcome. EK A380 F from MEL.......nice.

Don't think the production line has much to do with it, more likely the maintenance line for fixing wing cracks and the fact that's the winter timetable change date.

The last time I flew QF on that route (two years ago) the plane was only about half full, both ways. Admittedly this was over the Easter long weekend, so there would have been fewer business travellers, although the PER-SIN leg was the Thursday afternoon flight, so I would have expected it to be fairly full.

Here's the figures for city pairs for April, over 1000 a day PER-SIN vv

Is that for QF only? I'm not sure how that would be possible they're only operating two flights a day with an A330-300 that seats 297 passengers. The most they could be carrying would be 594 per day. If they're downgrading the aircraft too, that kind of speaks for itself. It would indicate that even if they are filling the aircraft, they're not making enough money on it, probably because they're unable to compete on price with SQ, so they're only breaking even or possibly losing money.

332 has extra J capacity compared to the 333, so how is this necessarily a downgrade?
6 more J seats for 68 less Y seats.

I am not sure if it is one of the flights, or a random array of both flights. The day that I am looking to get out of PER and back in to PER via SIN have 330-200's on both flights in and out.

Stoked that ek are going to fly from Adelaide. Great option for flying to Africa and also considering it for South America. Sounds out of the way but when you think 36 hours and 3-4 flights to get to Brazil from Adelaide or 2 flights with approx. 3 hour stop totalling 33ish hours. Going out is good connections but coming home probably have to come via Melbourne which is much better than sydney
