Now they aren't able to give huge petrol discounts, looks like it's coming with increased point hauls.

Some ascribe to the theory of spending small amounts and then hope it hits the EDR target

How do you get access to these offers?

With Everyday Rewards it is a bit of a gamble. It's hard to trigger specific offers but it is possible. If you are a new member then there should be some introductory offers to test out how much you spend on a regular basis and what incentive you need to spend more.

If you are a regular shopper at Woolworths but don't get offers, there are a few tricks you can try. Try spliting your shopping into two transactions. Swipe your card in the first transaction but not in the second transaction. You will lose base points but you may end up with more bonus points later. This will make WW/EDR think you have reduced your WW spending and they might send you decent offers to encourage you to spend with them again. EDR call themselves a loyalty program but most of the time they reward disloyalty. If you rarely spend over $30 in a transaction, stop swiping your card for a month and see if you get a "we miss you" offer.

If there is another adult member in the household, open up another everyday rewards account in their name. As mentioned above, this should trigger welcome offers. Be very careful to swipe the correct card for each transaction as offers are specific to one card.

Log into your EDR account and set the subscriptions and preferences to your interests. This gives EDR an idea of what offers you want and don't want. This might also trigger an offer. Good luck. I hope you get lots of offers.

Just received an email from EDR about my $40 (doubled original $20) gift card for Easter, letting me know how much I still needed to spend to reach the $100 target for this week, taking into account all purchases up until midnight last night. Handy little reminder, not a bad idea actually.

I hear some sign up Fido as a member to share the spend, although I think the Mexican cats are getting hungry.

I've heard of people signing up their kids to be as old as their mum and dad....works a treat for a large booty of BWS offers for the entire family ;)

My partners account got a we miss you offer. 300 points for a $50 spend in one transaction. Usually this would be too much for one transaction but as we have a party this weekend I should be able to manage the spend. I'll split my $50 spend(for the gift card) over a couple of transactions before Sunday and use my partners card on Saturday for the chickens and the fresh fruit and vegetables.

I predicted a couple of weeks ago that we might get a we miss you offer for this account. I wasn't sure at the time when we would get it or whether we would be able to take up the we miss you offer due to the timing of the Easter gift card offer. In my opinion the we miss you offers are coming out after about 5-6 weeks of non use of the card. The targets and bonus points seem to vary from time to time. 300 is higher than I have seen for our accounts but the catch is that it has to be in one transaction. Previous we miss you offers have been spread over several transactions.
