Re: EDR Targetted Bonus Point Promotions..new WW app

slightly off topic

there is an update to the app which I am just exploring.
One feature is a real time read out of petrol prices at a selected WW Caltex servo
So no excuses for missing bargains (however defined)

Hi Newk,

Thanks. I didn't use a WW gift card. I will keep checking my qff account to see which day it posts :) I used a plat edge for my fuel purchases. I have ascent premium as I also have the amex plat charge. I think I will save up my QFF points for domestic travel and also amex free flights for domestic travel. I will probably transfer my MR points to either SQ,VS,MH or CX for international travel. Or maybe QFF but their burn rates are not great for international.

Hi k3nnis

if you have access to your everyday rewards account on the net you will see the everyday rewards post almost before you get home from the servo.

They then transfer to QFF once per week. So depending on where you are in your weekly cycle (I am not sure if it is the same day for everyone, but one day when I have nothing to do I can check) it could be one day or seven days to QFF transfer

edit to add: of course you got more points depending on what card you used?
or you used a WW gift card to save 5%?

On and on the game goes

Nothing for weeks now. Back to Bi-Lo it is

For the first time in a long time no offers for any of the 4 accounts.

Same here for me, shopping at Woolies for most things, but visiting the butcher/fruit shop/chicken shop for everything else

So a 40% reduction in spend for me at Woolies

I have forgotten how to get to my Woolworths, and I am enjoying my much shorter trip to Coles at the Gabba!

We should run a poll. It would be easy to answer. About 90% less! I haven't been to BWS in months, nor BigW. WW sell a few things we like that Coles don't have so we still go to WW for those few items.

As I mentioned in the introduction forum a couple of months ago, I am in the rewards points programs for the savings on my groceries. I am shopping less at WW at the moment as I am getting more rewards from Coles. There are products that I still buy at WW which are cheaper than coles or that coles don't sell. The coles fuel offer is currently better than the WW bonus fuel offers so I'm not doing much stocking up at WW. I'm getting the equivalent of at least $11 a week out of flybuys at the moment but only about $1 a week from EDR/QFF.

Pathetic midweek offer received - 10% off Swisse vitaminds. Appropriate feedback given.

They are cough vitamins so agree. There are much better brands out there which don't spend millions boasting how people feel better on coughpy vitamins.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using AustFreqFly

I received the Swisse offer only with bonus 20% off. They also mentioned that Swisse is already 30% off and the bonus is on top of the current special. I might just grab one bottle of Iron supplements for about $4.

It is no where near the spend I used to put through for a points deal for Select or Macro products.

When are they going to wake up?

Our spend is exactly the same. We have been shopping at Woolworths since late 80's and that is not about to change chasing bonus points.

Just wish I had bought some shares back in 1994. :( That and CBA around the same time when they were ~$4.50/share.

My wife got an offer today to join the baby/toddler club, pity our youngest is 16:-|:-|:?:

Anyway, shopping at Coles has been good the last fortnight, $20 off and then 4000 flybuy points so all good plus they had those little tins of shredded chicken varieties for a dollar (less than half price), bought about 60. Great on sandwiches

When will Woolies wake up. I have spent virtually nothing there for 3 months as fuel vouchers are a waste of time for me. Nearly 50km to the nearest Safeways/Caltex Station. use 100 km of fuel on a round trip to save 10c per litre ???? Pretty unlikely.

Why don't they being back a mix of fuel discounts OR BONUS points and people can pick on their EDR profile and everyone is happy

Just got an offer from Coles / Fly Buys. Spend $170 get 500 bonus points. $170?? Really!? Ha.

My offer was better: Earn 500 BONUS POINTS when you spend over $70 in one transaction at Coles this Friday 2 November to Sunday 4 November 2012.*

Note that Woolies!

I got an email yesterday advising "you're on your way to earning a $20 Cash for Christmas Gift Card". I didn't know I was:?::?:. Who spent money at WW last week -I didn't...they must have included an online order on the previous Saturday that was delivered on Monday. Well, I'm not going out of my way to do it again this week.

I got that same offer yesterday - must have forgotten to tell them that my youngest (aged 3) hasn't worn them in almost a year. Appropriate feedback given and off to my account to unselect that area for offers.
