In any case, this sale is clearly against the T&Cs, so good luck to the bidder and the winner; hope they see to it they get caught (of course, eBay is likely immune in this case even though they like to assume some responsibility in eliminating items which they believe are against their rules / can't be traded legally).
I definitely do not hope they get caught. They are stupid and restrictive T&C's that help neither Qantas nor members. Qantas FF could be even more successful if they were smart enough to try and turn the points into another currency.

I wouldn't pay more than $1,000 but luckily I do not need to buy any QFF points.

As nlagalle mentioned you can choose 50,000 QFF points as the reward when you reach Partner Gold. Too risky to try and do a deal. What would happen if Qantas somehow finds out the transfer of points was not a family member?

Are they valuing Gold status at what Qantas lounge membership costs?

yeah but im not asking for the points, im asking only for the Gold Membership

I must have missed those deleted comments.

You want some kind soul to gift you Partner Gold?

Hmmm. I have paid about $1,200 to get the final 210 SCs needed for Partner Gold. I am not feeling that kind.

Good luck.

I think he wants PG gifted to him and then he gives them a monetary gift...totally unconnected with the PG bestowed upon him, of course ;)

Quick look on Ebay and the points have disappeared......

Im actually on there looking of rome of those huge model planes you see in airline offices and the like. I was in Seoul a few weeks back and spotted one for $270. As always it turns out should have bought it at the time. Sometimes I'm such a tight donkey.

Oh OK. I missed those deleted posts.

P.S. I need the 50,000 QFF points from Partner Gold as I am trying to reach 2,000,000 QFF points before Qantas goes belly up....

It's your prerogative but you are unlikely to be successful in that manner.

Seen as you have only just joined the forums, it's a tad rude to be asking in the manner you have. I can't see too many people obliging..

all im doing is just putting the idea out there, in that it can be seen as a win-win situation for both parties

and I didn't mean for it to come off in the manner as you have perceived it to be

How is it win-win for both parties? It isn't as if PG is the only option at 2400SC's.

Sorry, but with 20 posts and being here for 2 months it comes across as pretty rude...

I guess to PepsiMax, the only way to get Gold is do the flying yourself, get status matched (unlikely to happen), or if someone reaches 2,400 SCs, they can gift Gold status to a "family or friend".

Bartering for or asking for Gold status in exchange for money or gift on this forum openly is not only rather unethical, but it is against the rules.

I don't see how putting out a question and asking for an answer to said question can be considered to be rude,

it it quite strange how people have thought that I was asking rudely about it, when I wasn't

and I understand that there are 3 options that they can choice from... I was just giving them a 4th option that they may be interested in taking up which makes something in there back pocket a little bit heavier and mine a little bit lighter

hmm this forum doesn't have a trading section? whats up with that?

Im on a few other forums, probably about +30,000k posts through about 5 of them and they all have trading sections. I wouldve traded in excess of about $30,000 through them as buyer and seller.

Strange that this doesnt have a trading area
