I need to book a flight from Paris to Rome and EasyJet seems to be one of the cheaper options. Anything I need to know before I book?

Did the same flight two years ago , I purchased priority boarding as it was first in best dressed then ,as well as baggage allowance as that can be expensive if purchased at checkin .

Flight from London to Paris delayed 4+hours. No communication what was happening. Arrangements in Paris all stuffed up.

Flight from Paris to Barcelona cancelled. Only notification was an email at 10:30pm , the night before the 11am flight, that just by chance I found. Would have arrived at the airport to find that we were booked on later flight, 7pm with a 10 hour wait. Fortunately, there were available seats earlier at 7am but had to rearrange private transfers which were not too keen for the early morning pick up. Arrangements in Barcelona were then stuffed up. Domino effect.

Very stressful. No way would we fly with them again.

Know the rules - baggage allowance, check in time and seat allocations (first in was my experience also). As long as you stay within the rules they get you from A to B

I've heard the delays are often weather related, so I'm guessing September should be ok. Unless you have another suggestion?

I've flown them a few time, and RyanAir... Probably prefer EasyJet... They get you from A to B as deejo77 says... Buy your luggage allowance on line, then if need be put on a few extra layers at the airport if slightly over...

Seats can be pre purchased at booking. Happy to follow the rules, and I'm giving myself a days leeway in case things go wrong.

Flown Easyjet heaps of times over the past 10 years. No problems. Much more transparent fares than Ryanair.
Ditto baggage hand luggage check in etc.

I would fly with them again. My experience out of Paris though was that they actually had ot change airports (Orly to CDG oe vv) because of strike action.

I got caught when they weighed my cabin bag at check-in and then charged me for the extra weight. Moral, don't take cabin bags to checkin, should have left it with my mate whom was laughing as he lugged his overweight bag into the cabin. It was pretty obvious at check-in that everyone else knew how to get around the cabin baggage restrictions.

Maybe they have improved the system now.

Enjoy the flights.

Thanks everyone for the tips. I'll make sure I pre-pay for baggage and a seat. And keep my shopping to a minimum before I get to Rome!

As long as you understand what you will get I do not believe you will go wrong. Easyjet has always been good for me in the past and I have always made sure I am at the airport in plenty of time and have paid for what I am travelling with. Priority boarding is a bargain in my opinion. Enjoy your trip!

Flown them twice in 2009. Rak-Cdg, Cdg-Bcn. No problem. Paid for luggage, priority boarding (Back when seats were free for all). Stick to the rules re baggage weight, size etc and it will be fine

My girls have both flown with them a number of times and had no problems. I have booked KRK-LGW in September, added my luggage at booking and selected seats.

BTW, I think you can check in 30 days ahead, print your boarding pass etc.

I flew RyanAir and survived (just). They'd have to be better than that surely...!

P.S. On RyanAir, a ridiculous horserace-finish-type tune plays and the passengers all clap when the plane lands. It's pretty scary actually, given the underlying connotations I had in my head!

flew easyjet plenty of times when living in london. my experience? basic but efficient. never had any delays.

Well I'm booked! Cant complain about the price, even with baggage and seat selection it was pretty reasonable. I can check in before I leave Australia to make things easier. Thanks for all the advice! :D
