oh, that's a bitter pill 🤦‍♀️
No way for me to score that 20SC as I am already with Red Energy and my monthly bills 200-250 so 3 month will only provide 750 points... can't refer anyone as well, can't overpay the bill...
Is there any other way to score this category?
Without looking at the T&C for Red Points but a creative way to bump up the bill is to get a service order raised. Basically it is a request to have something done to your meter. Depending on how desperately you need the SC and to get close to the the $250 you would be looking at something like a meter test being done (not sure of the exact cost it varies depending on where you live).
You would need to be a bit creative when asking for it as
a) you would need to be disputing a high bill so you would need an unpaid bill
b) you may need to push them to get it raised and make sure that you pay it
Alternativley hydroponics can get the electriciy bill pretty high

Looking forward to the "just had a visit from the authorities" posts that are sure to follow the Red Energy part of this promo

If a sign on or referral bonus is out of the question or you don't have a huge quarterly gas bill on the horizon, it's probably more fiscally prudent to pass on those SCs I think.

But if you must then maybe find a few EV drivers and offer them a place to charge for free for a while.

I got 50 points for Binge, but not yet the 1000 points bonus. Does anyone else have experience of the 1000 posting later? Or do I need to start thinking about Kayo…..?
Did you end up getting the points and SCs from Binge @fkcn ? Like you, I've had 50 points land this morning after being charged following the 'new customer' free trial, but no sign of the 1000 points so far (and hence SCs).

(It's been over two years since I held a Binge subscription so I should be eligible. Hoping I don't need to set up a new account and get Kayo...)

No, never did despite escalation.

Binge points and bonus points posted at the same time for me i.e. one entry for 50 and one entry for 1000 appeared overnight a day after card charged (SC followed a day later)

Bugger! Thanks for the update. Looks like I'll be buying the cheapest SIM I can find with a few days credit on it (Telstra's doing a $1 eSIM which will fit the bill) and signing up for Kayo with a new account...

I spoke too soon! Binge points today. After I’d subscribed to Kayo.

Haven't held a Binge account since 2023 and signed up again early Nov. After my trial ended, I got the 50 points but not the 1000 despite it being advertised very clearly on Qantas.com and the Binge T&C's being ambiguous but mentioning that customers who hadn't held an account in 12 months were eligible for points.

I hopped on the Binge support chat, my god good luck to anyone else doing this - they are truely awful to deal with. Very rudely told me I was not eligible and misquoting T&C's over and over again. After I pressed the issue, they ended up raising a complaint on my behalf and I got this e-mail in response advising me that returning customers were indeed eligible, but since I had a 7 day trial I could no longer get the bonus points.

I replied advising that not only do the T&C's explicitly state that you get the points after the trial, there's actually no way to signup to the QFF offer without the trial even if you don't want it.

Today they replied acknowleging they were wrong and asking for my QFF details. We'll see what happens next.

A "new" Qantas Travel Insurance promotion went active at midnight tonight and runs through to 4th December.

It's very similar to the previous promotion that expired last night, but offers 50% - 150% more bonus points than the previous offer.

Could be of interest to anyone who was thinking of getting a travel insurance policy, or those who bought recently and are still within the cooling off period. You still need to spend >=$100 on a policy to get over the 1000 point threshold.

My Kayo points landed this morning, so the SCs should land in a day or two. Let's hope the Binge bonus (eventually) lands too.

(Decided to go for Kayo Premium as I was curious both whether 4K was a worthwhile upgrade and how much 4K content there was, so there was at least some value for me in that. The answers were 'yes, but not for the price they're asking compared to my legacy Foxtel Now deal' and 'not much'.)

For the $100 policy I've bought for my forthcoming quick joyride to CHC in EK F, the bonus points are 1.5K (up from 1K). Sadly not 2K though, which seems to be the best bonus point offer.
