Earn up to 110 Qantas Status Credits on the ground

Category tally back on my App this morning having disappeared for days.

Now at 3 without much effort.
Qantas Hotels from a stay 31 Aug before promo announced - posted 1 October
Everyday Rewards - daughter's shop
BP - thanks to their points/discount stuff up, goodwill gesture

Should get Qantas earn credit card spend and Red Energy 🤞

Yet, they also post as “Insurance”…

Guess we’ll see in due course. Let’s see who’s shaking their phones fast enough to rack up 1000 pts 😂

Meanwhile, the Ts&Cs appear to be silent on Red Planet surveys. But they’ve stopped posting to accounts since late September…
Does anyone know what up with Red Planet surveys?

i’m still very confused about earning points from the Qantas well-being app. Some have said points from day-to-day activities will qualify. Others say it will not as I don’t have binge The only way to get from this category for me would be through the Qantas well-being app.
Points for the binge offer just came through to me after the free one week trial completed. Pretty easy. Worth it for 10 SC at $19 imo

I recently opened a qf insurance policy for the first time and it looks like the wellbeing app quizzes associated with insurance are showing up there; the random 5 points for walking challenges etc (I don't have health insurance with them) are coming up in the health and wellbeing activity.

If you have active QF Health Insurance, you also get 10x the base points on Wellbeing.

Is there a site that actually lists the minimum amounts of transaction that is required to achieve each category. EG how much is actually needed to be spent on Qantas Marketplace.
Would save a lot of wandering

#3 on "How it works" right in the middle of the page

For each category you earn 1,000 Qantas Points in, you'll unlock Status Credits

Seems to register pretty quickly - 2 to 3 days after qualifying transactions.

EG how much is actually needed to be spent on Qantas Marketplace.

Yep, that was the big bold headline in the Ts&Cs - earn 1k.
To earn this 1k, the 'how much needs to be spent' has been discussed somewhat over this thread. My experience so far
  • Shopping: $350 on gift cards at marketplace for the 10 SC (went with wish GCs)
  • Fuel: $80 on bp ultimate fuel, with the 5x points offer to hopefully get 500 of the points. Without offers it's 500L of bp ultimate, at maybe 25c/l more than base unleaded that's quite pricey ($125 for the 10 SC)
  • Hotel and travel: 10k IHG points transferred to 2k QF points. Probably not worth buying points at $208 AUD for 10k though...
  • Insurance: To get the 30k sign up bonus for a qantas insurance policy the policy had a $2k min spend annually. Might be less for different insurance types, people have suggested an $100 travel insurance policy as an idea
  • Food/wine: Convert a minimum of $10 woolworths dollars to 1000 qantas points - i guess you can call this buying points at 1c/p - otherwise you could do a couple of hello fresh boxes for $200 or so
  • Health/leisure/ent: $20 for one month of binge for 1000
  • Cards and banking: if you don't already have a QF CC, you could possibly earn the points via qantas pay, and I've just seen SNIIP has an offer to pay three bills to get 2k points at the moment (T&C below), or you could put $4k of AUD spend through qantas pay
  • Utilities and services: red energy / solargain are much bigger commitments, red energy probably seems the way to go for people who have access to them (i'm not going to buy a battery just to earn 20 sc) but ymmv in terms of what this will cost you
*Bonus Qantas Points offer: To earn 2,000 bonus Qantas Points with Sniip, you must (a) link your Qantas Frequent Flyer account to the Sniip app prior to transacting, (b) enter the relevant promotional code ‘UNLOCK2000’ prior to transacting and (c) transact a minimum of $1,000 in total over three (3) separate bill payments (different billers) within Sniip, on eligible payment methods and eligible transaction types as detailed above within the first 60 days of entering the promo code. Offer commenced 1 July 2025.

The bonus Qantas Points offer is available to new Sniip customers only. The creation of a new Sniip account is not necessarily a new customer in terms of the promotion (refer to 5.6 Fair‑Use of Promotional Codes and Sniip Discretion in the Sniip Terms and Conditions). Existing Sniip customers, or customers who have previously held a Sniip account, are ineligible for this offer. The bonus Qantas Points offer is not available on direct to biller (Sniip QR code) payments.

The processing fee does not count toward the minimum spend for this offer. The bonus Qantas Points offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promo code offer – the first offer added is the reward you will receive and cannot be changed once applied.

Got myself the following:

Cards - Qantas earning card
Insurance - Travel insurance policy >$100
Utilities - Nup
Hotels - Hilton Honors points transfer (10,000)
Fuel and cars - BP fuel, should get there.
Food and wine - Woolworths everyday rewards QF conversion (2,000)
Shopping - Woolworths gift cards ($350)
Entertainment - Binge qantas offer 1000 points bonus with 1 month subscription ($19)

As someone said earlier upthread, the variability to get 1k points in a particular category will vary wildly - as you’ve demonstrated.

The key is to make sure you earn at least 1k by whatever means possible.

I'm also hoping to keep silent (cough fight club / movie theatre) on red planet surveys in the hope nobody's attention is drawn to it and it is proactively added to the exclusion list

Lat34+1 registered for SCs (registration confirmation shows in the app plus website) and completed EDR spend on 8 and 11 Oct for 1,000 points transfers. Neither spend has triggered an email (we know it's only one per category), no notification in (iphone) app or website and no SC posted.
