Earn points on Bank Transfers

What about your membership year?
I just checked and my annual fee was charged in late December. Since then over 100k points. This is the QFF card. I thinkt there are different caps for the different types of card.

Have you been capped?

I believe so, yes. I have earned 110K this membership year but I made the mistake of enquiring about temporarily removing my FF number or withholding the transfer of points. That, apparently, has attracted scrutiny. The agent I spoke with said I'd reached the cap. Time will tell if I've bitten off the hand that feeds me.

PayAll payments are exempt from the cap. It says so in the T&C's. Not the best idea to make any inquiries though. That is just asking for trouble.

No. I had the physical paper document they posted.

They could have updated the terms since then. Bit of a bummer if they did.

Surprise, surprise. The Citi rep gave me the wrong information. I earned the full load QFF points from PayAll transactions in my statement ending a few days ago.

Only last week I set up my monthly recurring payments for the next 8 years. My transfers were for more than $20k a month so I wonder if the transfers I have set up will be cancelled or capped out. Or does it only apply to newly initiated transfers?

How are you able to set payments for 8 years? The app tells me "Up to 60 months" but only lets me set up to 24 months. Citi confirmed to me on email it that only up to 24 months is permitted.

Same issue with the app saying 60 months but only letting you do 24 months.

I just set up a 24 month one starting this month. Then another 24 month one starting in September 2024, then another 24 month one starting in September 2026, then another 24 month one starting in September 2028. Done!

Was this for a single $20k transaction or multiple transfers? Just been approved with a $40K limit on a Citi Prestige card and wondering how far I could push it.

It was two transactions a month. One over $20k and one smaller one to get up to my credit limit. It didnt seem to let me set up one for for my full credit limit each month. Your $40k limit is somewhat redundant as the old limit was $35k a month for Citi PayAll transactions which according to the update in post #150 has been adjusted down to $20k from November 2022.

Speaking of which i am on the Citi website now looking for another card and i notice that the PayAll terms do not have any reference to the $20k limit.

Interesting you say that. I've been setting up 3 x $10K PayAll transactions each month for 2 years at a time to see out the decade. Each time I do, the app tells me, "Over 24 months, you will receive 120,000 points/miles". That's 3 x 60K in points per year which I don't think aligns with the new 20K per month limit.

Just got my CC in the mail. It includes a variation notice with the 20k limit from 1st November.

Is the linked Diners club card of any use? Does it earn points faster, with the few retailers that accept it?
