AMEX and Virgin Australia have announced that holders of the AMEX Velocity Platinum Card can now earn 100 Velocity status credits each year by reaching $50,000 of eligible spending.

Eligible spending includes all spending except interest, fees and charges on the account, and cash type purchases such as travellers’ cheques and foreign currencies.
