My in-laws recently flew Royal Brunei, but they haven't credited to Asia Miles yet. CX say they need original boarding passes and an e-ticket receipt to credit them. How would we get an e-ticket receipt? I've tried checkmytrip and virtuallythere, but none of the reference numbers seem to work. Any other online suggestions, or do we need to contact the airline or the travel agent (Flight Centre)?

Cheers,
Steve

Generally E-ticket receipts are emailed upon ticketing or can be generated from the web site.

The most important part of this would be the Ticket numbers (starting with 672- ...)

I would not travel without both an electronic copy and a hard copy printout.

Did your in-laws ever receive said e-ticket email?

Update on this - neither Flight Centre nor Royal Brunei can provide the e-ticket receipt because the flight is in the past, and AsiaMiles insist that they need a copy. This is annoying, I guess I will give it a bit longer and see if the points post on their own, and then send them every bit of paperwork we can find.

Is it on the credit card statement, maybe put in a request with the bank for more details of that charge, I bet you get back a e tick number pretty quick!

Still no luck with this - I now have the e-ticket number but Flight Centre still say they can't give me the e-ticket receipt because it's in the past and has "disappeared" from their system.

I had a similar incident earlier in the year with a KLM flight that did not post to Delta Skymiles.

I did not have an e-ticket receipt (as KLM had not emailed me one) but I had the e-ticket number, the booking reference, the KLM itinerary (including the amount paid for flights) and the boarding pass.

Skymiles would not credit the miles without the e-ticket receipt even after I sent them all the documentation. I got in touch with KLM who advised me that it was not possible to send me an e-ticket receipt as it was now in the past and the best they could was a purged record. No idea what a purged record is but I did not bother with KLM although I persevered with Skymiles and as I was using logic in the argument they finally credited the flight to Skymiles.

There is no need for FF programs to make things so difficult as an itinerary, e-ticket number, booking reference and boarding pass should be proof enough that I actually took the flight.

Good to see that SQ is implementing changes that no longer require a person to send boarding passes for a retro-active claim on a partner flight. I think the e-ticket number or booking reference will be sufficient for the retro-active claim to post to Kris Flyer.
