Duty free and Aust international transit

On some stopovers on QF i have certianly had the chance to leave items onboard during the stopover, but you should never assume this, what if they want to change planes, then your stuffed.

CX on the flights that stop at ADL then MEL they warn you that you must not take duty free liquids, it is a very specific infomation to passangers.

Staff at SIN duty free shops are not aware that you can have liquids on AU domestic flights, so they will say if you flight is SIN-SYD-MEL even is SYD-MEL is QF400 or above for example that you cannot take the liquids, i just tell them that i will take the risk and that you can indeed take them, they look at you and think your crazy and say oh well your risk.

It would be interesting to find out. I wonder if anyone working at airport security knows what happens and is able to release that information to the public.

It would certainly be a sad situation if the workers actually got to keep duty free that some poor passenger has used their hard earned to purchase.
