I have been going through the CBR QP quite regularly lately and there appears to be a tightening of the drinks rules at the bar.
Some bar staff have been enforcing a rule that says 1 drink per person per order. I typically take two drinks back to my seat as i have bad arthritis in my leg which makes it inconvenient to walk back and forth, and as i often travel alone, it makes life a little easier. I was told by the first barmen that its an ACT rule, but i know this is not the case under ACT RSA. It seems to be a local rule enforced by barstaff. QP front desk say they dont know why it is being enforced and that they are receiveing numerous complaints regarding overzealous barstaff. It has happened to me 3 out of last 4 weeks, and it has never been an issue at any other QP i have passed through. I never typically have more than 2 drinks when travelling, so i am not out to get hammered, but thats what RSA rules are for anyway..
Anyone know the official line? FWP i know, but would be nice to nderstand what is going on.
