I have a one hour transit in DPS coming up. Has anyone done this recently, and if so how long did it take?

I will be getting back on the same plane (CX-CX) if that helps.

Not sure if this will help @JessicaTam but your post triggered a memory of Simon Dean doing a transit through Jakarta so I went looking

Here it is

He was HCO and two different airlines, but managed to get sorted. Totally different case from yours but it does show the Transfer Counter at least! :D

Not super recent but it was easy and quick for me last time.

The int-to-int transfer area is clearly signposted. If you have your onwards boarding pass, you can go straight to the dedicated security screening. If not, there are transfer desks to visit first. You might need to visit one if you need to pick up a lounge invitation.

After security screening you end up in the general departures area.

MNL-DPS-MNL?

You shoud be OK if you can find someone to give you a BP if you don't have one.

You wouldn’t pay the Bali tax though… even if going landside just say ‘transit saja’ if anyone asked.

Just to close the loop …

I flew HKG-DPS-HKG yesterday as part of the one ticket. I already had my BP for the return flight. I was in the second row of J pounded to race out the door towards the transit area. The cabin crew were on the same flight back as well, so I hoped that would give me an extra couple of minutes if they chose to go slow for me.

At the exit of the air bridge was an airport staff member holding up a sign for my next flight. She was waiting for me (and only me!) We headed to transit security where my BP was scanned and my bags checked. The staff member stayed with me all the way to the lounge where she ‘jumped the queue’ to get me scanned in.

All up no more than 10 minutes from plane door to lounge door.

As I went past, the transit desk was also staffed so it is possible I could have got my BP there.

The signage to the transit area was very obvious and clear.

So my worry was for nothing. The transit security is always staffed, but you need to have a BP to access it. I don’t know if an eBP would work as I always have a paper one.

It did help that we pulled up at gate 3, maybe 50-100m from the transit area.

B2B possible at DPS? Yes.

A couple of questions.

Where did the trip start from and how did you manage to get a BP for the DPS-HKG sector in advance?

I've done similar in reverse (DPS-HKG-TPE-HKG-DPS), but not all in one go.
