Would be nice but as advised by @coriander , it won't happen. I didn't think QF flew ADL/WLG direct - did he connect via SYD or MEL? Nice to collect more DSC

someone at work in NZ said they were supposed to fly out of WLG on the QF flight at 5pm yesterday and sat on the tarmac until 1am then they were offloaded - not sure how factual that is Apparently the Saturday 5pm flight didn't go either

Might be a question for the 'Ask the Pilot' thread, but I thought there were limits to how long you could wait before being offloaded.

And the flight WLG-ROT was actually WLG-WLG which is zero distance so zero points and SCs.
Yeah well he’s a bit bummed at the ultra cheap place I booked him. Oh well. Such is life.

Multitudes of flights have been cancelled in last 24 hours. Currently booked on a 6.30 am flight. He’s supposed to start work with a client at 9 am.

RichardMEL, verdiblue may be able to get double points through their Business Rewards account as well as the DSC in their personal QFF account (that's the way I read it).

Of course, notwithstanding QF's desire to allow this...
yes that is correct. however due to external forces ive had to miss out on the latter

Has anyone had DSC credited ? I had signed up and have taken four flights during this time but only been credited with normal SC.
More worried about DSC not being credited for flights in march and april in new anniversary year

Usually it takes a bit longer than normal before the first sweep. After that it’s done regularly.

The first sweep of DSCs might not be this week. I wouldn’t be worried yet.

With last year’s offer it typically took me 2 Business Days after standard credits to get DSCs.

There was fog/low cloud at WLG.

USA has a rule that very heavily fines airlines if passengers are onboard on the ground for more than 3 hours. NZ has no such rule. Indeed last year I spent several hours onboard after an aborted takeoff (door warning light came on during the takeoff roll). Luckily for me I was in SQ F so had plenty of champagne and lunch while on the ground.

Well I have the results of my first 2 experiments, being:

Flights made with gift vouchers, both vouchers were purchased on 2/2.
  • One was redeemed on 3/2 for travel 16 Feb, so purchased and redeemed within the promotional period (1-5 Feb) and will be flown prior to 20 Jan 19.
  • One other was redeemed on 6/2 for travel 18 Feb, so purchased but not redeemed within the promotional period (1-5 Feb) and will be flown prior to 20 Jan 19.
Both flights posted DSC this afternoon. Read the post, PNR creation date holds true. No need for another ground swell of voucher posts. They worked.

Excellent. Finally some definitive evidence. That’s what was expected and tends to put egg on the face of a number of vocal OPs.:)

Yes, run to mirror, check for egg on face. :p

Sorry, but couldn't help it, what with all the doom and gloom prophecies.

Any talk of legal proceedings pending?:p:p:p

Great outcome. I was fairly confident, but the T&C change, I admit, had me concerned. So far so good. :D
