Double Status Credit Promotions!

This my first post and don't know whether has been discussed before (sorry if it has). I've just been exposed to the "I didn't read the fine print" problem. Having signed up for the double status credit promotion in Feb 2017 I completed a return flight HVB to PRG. On return I got my double status credits for the HVB to BNE leg but not for the BNE - PRG - BNE legs. The booking was through my QFF account but the BNE - PRG - BNE legs were with Emirates. When I returned and was not granted my double SC's I mad an enquiry and was told (I have a snap shot of the text) that Emirates is not part of the OWA but is only a partner and I was not going to get double SC's. This is effecting my chances of retaining Platinum this year but I am writing this to ensure that everyone reads the fine print as my issue is dealt with in the 4 font print! Sorry my first post had to be a rant but I'll make up for that in the future.

Unfortunately (for you in this case), most Qantas double status credit promotions only apply to Qantas-operated flights. This is stated in the offer terms & conditions. Here's some info about the February promo: Qantas Double Status Credits is Back!

It is still concerning the response from QFF as to why double SC were not earned was wrong.

It had nothing to do with one world.

Agree that saying EK is not part of OW so no DSC is inaccurate in respect to the DSC being applied, but it is correct in and of itself.

What's even more confusing is that in the past certain EK flights (with QF codeshares) were OK for DSC

Each promotion is different and has specific terms though lately it's been QF operated only, so to be sure for these things it's best to book QF operated (if getting the bonus SC's are the goal)
