I'm seeing these DSC offers as an alternative to a sale - I think you won't find sale fares on the same time as DSC offers. QF is seeing if it can hook people in to flying with them without dropping the price.

That's sort of encouraging. Funny I had not had any form of QFF offer/communication since changing my address to outside of Aus (except perhaps one in mid 2009), and within a week of changing it back, I've had two - this and Hilton HHonors double QFF point promo (which my partner, still registered at SG address did not get).

Interesting. When I updated to my UK address it took a few months I think before I started getting ex-UK sale emails.

I "finally" got the DSC offer too (have been waiting all year...). Checked a number of flights in March PER-LHR in business and there are sales all over the place (eg. return for about $6.7k). Which would mean 1040 SC from perth for the return flight. Tempting....

I get sale emails ex-SIN, ex-CGK and ex-Australia just by subscribing to red e-deals on each countries websites.

I got it as well, but no chance of any international flying during the period - but registered anyway for the fun of it. I can understand the QFi only approach (rather than including Dom travel).
