Re: Double status credits 2/3/17 - 6/3/17

Just to be clear, are others interpreting the T'S&C's as the 50sc Loyalty Bonus not counting towards retaining status if sc are achieved through the DSC offer?

No. Which part of the T&Cs suggests that?

Are you testing it out for our curiosity Pushka?

Oh not by choice. Big issues discovered today but amazing AFF'er madrooster has gone above and beyond and sorted stuff out for me - that neither Qantas nor Emirates seemed capable of understanding. He just 'got it'.
Gosh I love this forum.

Thanks for all the info everyone. Im going to give the voucher route a try and see how I go. Ive loaded up 4X vouchers. Fingers crossed.

If you do not get all BP's issued at initial check in you can get ex-CHC BP at the transfer desk
(assumuing there is one in CHC) or the gate. You don't require a BP to go through international transit security in NZ
Correct, I did this today in AKL. No boarding pass, no problems, just a friendly chat with the security guy at Transit. Though the lounge desk seemed surprised I could get to there without a BP.

5 days of madness is almost at an end, how many others let the idiot switch override common sense. I will put it out there, 3 bookings cancelled, 24 new bookings made, 6 new vouchers (just in case I need them).

i would be interested to know the difference (volume) in bookings made in the past 5 days compared to say the week prior.

Wonder if QF will extend DSC offer

Why would they?

Impressive.

Sometimes we on AFF think the world is as crazy as us. It isn't. I told my niece as she is SG and she knew nothing about it. Not everyone received emails - I did I think because my year ends soon and it was targeted at me to achieve WP. It worked. But if you didn't get the email and not visiting the Qantas website then you just wouldn't know about it.

Pretty good 5 days if QF wanted a quick cash infusion.

Got a work trip booked and ticketed today, Syd-Lhr rtn in J...1120 SCs :) :)

I booked the flight above - 2 months earlier than planned. The beauty of this Double SCs offer is that with easy QF Plat requalification sorted, I can enjoy other airlines' premium cabins which are sadly alot better than Qf's.

Ok, sanity has prevailed. Decided it isn't worth spending $1k+ just to shoot for WP.

However, I will buy a flexi fare as I know I'll have some trip coming up. Or am I better just buying a $50 voucher with the same (hopefully) result? Ie, don't have to stump up the bulk of the cash now.

I reckon it's worth the voucher. No guarantee though.
