Re: Double status credits 2/3/17 - 6/3/17

I'm sure this is a silly question but I have a question about buying Qantas travel voucher for the DSC. If I have our family of 4 that I want to use the vouchers for - can I just use one voucher for the future planned travel for the 4 of us?
I know the DSC for vouchers is unconfirmed.

You can buy a voucher for 4 people. Once a voucher is bought the number of passengers cannot be changed.

If there is any funds left over after making your booking the leftover would be used to create a new voucher with a new booking reference.

Re: Double status credits 2/3/17 - 6/3/17

Or how many times the same question gets asked and answered/confirmed at least 3 times each time. ;)

But I can understand the queries. It's almost too good to be true so something must be hidden. And we've all been caught by the details in T&C's.

Re: Double status credits 2/3/17 - 6/3/17

Things worked smoothly last year with credits quickly being credited within 2-3 working days usually of a flight being taken. Hope this happens again this time.

Ain't that the truth. And the reality for many of us is that having a small window (Monday night) to book trips we may not yet be 100% about is a tricky one, we need to know the fine details! Last year I booked flights to NZ during the DSC promo, then weeks later when a J sale popped up paid the difference but only after ascertaining for sure whether the DSCs still applied. Devil's in the detail....

Re: Double status credits 2/3/17 - 6/3/17

Booked my LHR-BNE-LHR x 2 today for DSCs! Way to go! :)

I did this myself a few times. Booked a few MEL-AKL trips in whY during the DSC promo, and upgraded them to J when the J sales came on. DSC's posted without issue.

It's a double SCs promotion identical to last year. Not targetted to specific individuals only which I am against. Qantas marketed flights. Gift vouchers can be used. Existing bookings are ineligible.

These same questions are asked over and over. There's a separate thread for status run ideas.

This is a DSC offer thread. We are assuming it's ok for vouchers. Not all Qantas marketed flights - only on Q metal or across the ditch. Pretty important changes this time.

Not quite identical. Last year the allowed codeshares were AA trans-pac. This year it is Emirates Trans-Tasman.

Re: Double status credits 2/3/17 - 6/3/17

Slightly OT question in regards to gift vouchers. It says multi city is excluded. Does that mean when I redeem the voucher I will only see direct flights? For example only BNE-HKG but not BNE-SYD-HKG?

Agree...

they obviously can't include the AA ones given the JV situation - the EK t-t is an "enhancement" :D

Re: Double status credits 2/3/17 - 6/3/17

When you book non-multi city flights not using a voucher you would see BNE-SYD-HKG as an option but you wouldn't be able to book a stop over without using multi-city. You'd have to fly onto HKG the same day you arrive in SYD. It would be the same when redeeming a voucher.

Do you mean you are using a voucher? Vouchers dont allow multi city. But DSC done through the qantas website with regular payment will allow multi city. So multi city is just a vouchers thing. I didnt see anything about multi city exclusions in the actual DSC offer.
